Addendum: 10/11/2010
I've just now noticed something about my math and theories...why couldn't the pyramids be built AFTER Moses leads Israel out of Egypt? What evidence is there to definitively state that the global flood occurred around approximately 3450 B.C. and now many years before that? This revelation was when I noticed this verse from Galations 3:17.
The law, introduced 430 years later

Paul mentions this specific period of time passing between Abraham's covenant with God (right after he nearly sacrifices Isaac) and the handing down of the law from God to Moses at Mount Sinai. This got me thinking about the whole thing and it just popped into my head: why can't this all take place later? I mean Egypt is a prominent society well into King Solomon's reign, so Israel being freed wasn't the plug being pulled on the bathtub of Egyptian society...it was just a historic event. Just interesting to look back and reanalyze. We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog entry, already in progress.

Did God create the Egyptians? Was there a global flood? We'll start with the global flood. Genesis 6:17, 7:19 and 8:9 seem to think that it was global.

"Everything that is on the earth shall die"
"All the high mountains under the entire heaven were covered"
"For the waters were on the surface of the whole earth"

Of course the message of the whole Bible could be that the flood was global and science just wouldn't accept it. (For those of you who didn't know, the real message of the Bible is kind of like a chick flick, but I'll explain that in a later expansion).
The real proof for a global or non-global flood is based on the carbon dating of the pyramids and from there, dating modern man (i.e. the creation of Adam). The genealogy of man details the years from Adam's creation to the flood and then from the flood to an encounter with full blown Egyptian society.
"Archaeologists believe it [the Great Pyramid] is the work of the Old Kingdom Dynasty 4 society that rose to prominence in the Nile Valley from ca. 3000 B.C. and built the Giza Pyramids in a span of 85 years between 2589 and 2504 B.C." (Archaeological Institute of America) This was published in 1999 and I haven't really found any more recent facts. If the society rose to prominence in approximately 3000 B.C., then the global flood was 450 years before that. Where did 450 come from? From my nifty chart!

This chart is a counting of years from Adam to the flood and from the flood to Abraham, who sojourned in Egypt (which indicates that it was a great kingdom at that time). The left column is the father, the right is how many years they lived until their child was born (i.e. Adam lived 130 years and begot Seth). (Also, please note that they produced more children and lived longer, this is just a direct lineage from Adam to Noah to Abraham).
The number 450 is 490 minus 40 years. This is to account that Abraham's sojourning occurred in his prime, so maybe 40 years before he had Issac (no dates are associated with his sojourning). So 450 years after the flood, Egypt was a great society and started building the great pyramids of Giza. Is that even possible? Especially considering that the Egyptians were born of Mizraim, son of Ham, son of Noah (again, no dates associated with this aspect of the genealogy). So the entire Egyptian society was born of one man and built up enough in 450 years that they started building pyramids? I just don't know anymore. So this page will continue to evolve while I seek out the answers...
